Signed by Richard Evans.
The Art of the Album Cover celebrates seven decades of sleeve design from the early covers of Alex Steinweiss in the 1940s, through the Cool Jazz of the Fifties, the Pop and psychedelic revolution of the Sixties, the golden age of the album cover in the Seventies, the New Wave of the Eighties, the Britpop and Grunge of the Nineties, and the iPod generation of the Noughties.
This is a beautifully laid out book beginning with some fantastic early covers, through decades of sleeves both rare and iconic. Evans' anecdotes are enlightening and amusing. Makes a great gift for a music or design fan.
Please note, if ordering from the EU, that whilst there is no tax charged on UK books sales you may be charged import fees and duties upon delivery. These should be at your own country's rate of tax on books, but we have had customers being charged up to 20% tax and we have no way of controlling this once the books have left us. As we are liable for the same tax bills to retrieve shipments from customs we cannot offer refunds requested on the basis of high tax bills. We apologise sincerely for this situation and hope that better solutions are found soon.
