Christopher Wright, or 'Tinhead' as he is better known, has a distinctively contemporary style of illustration which has attracted a number of music industry clients, most notably Foals.
A child of the '80s
his cover artwork for Foals' debut album, Antidotes, featured in Creative Review's album cover of the year list for 2008. Tinhead rediscovered the sketchbook he had worked in for the Antidotes album campaign, dated next to the first image as 15 Jan 2007. The publication of the Antidotes art print can be seen as a celebration of that reunion - a big body of work once thought lost forever.
"To begin with I didn’t quite realise what was happening, regarding the importance of the band, so I wasn’t that precious with the work. I was a dustbin man drawing pictures for his mates. It was only when I started going to a few gigs and spending lots of time with Yannis I began to understand something special was happening."
