Scarlet Page grew up surrounded by photos and photographers, in a creative and industrious family. I was given free reign to document and experiment as a fledgling photographer She studied photography at the University of Westminster in the early 1990s and quickly developed her own fresh, documentary style travelling America with The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beastie Boys and the other acts on the Lollapolooza tour of 1994. It was definitely a turning point....everyone would sit up and take note Her feature in the artwork for The Verve's album, A Northern Soul cemented her place in the rock photography hall of fame. She has gone on to work with some of the music world’s biggest acts and continues to be commissioned by all the major record labels to shoot artwork and press campaigns for high profile bands. Scarlet has worked extensively for charities, including Teenage Cancer Trust and Warchild. Her latest project, Resonators, began as a two year global quest to photograph the greatest guitar players along with their instruments. It was a personal endeavour, realised by the publication of a beautiful limited edition book in 2015 and by several exhibitions, most recently Resonators + in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2019.
