“The biggest band in the world”?
In the early seventies Led Zeppelin were accorded this accolade and it was probably true. They were pioneers of heavy metal rock but also early innovators in the incorporation of disparate musical styles into their music. They have sold over 300 million albums worldwide - a quite staggering figure.
