Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell (‘Po’) founded the photodesign company Hipgnosis in the late 1960’s. Together they designed and photographed artworks for such luminaries as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Yes, 10cc, XTC, Black Sabbath, the Beatles and Peter Gabriel.

Amongst the many talented artists, photographers and designers that crossed the Hipgnosis threshold was George Hardie who collaborated with Storm and Po on many iconic album designs such as Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’.
