Michael Trim studied graphic design in the early sixties, but after graduation began working in the film industry designing models for Gerry Anderson’s puppet shows. Starting with the ground breaking Thunderbirds he went on to work on Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet.
His later illustrative work specialised in military subjects of aircraft, ships and land vehicles appearing in magazines, children’s books and specialist publications. In 1978 he created the cover for Jeff Wayne’s ‘The War of the Worlds’ double album as well as several of the machines featured in the accompanying booklet.
